Taking the Next Step - the first appointment and counselling and psychotherapy fees in Lincoln and Southwark.
The first step is to arrange an initial appointment with me, either by email, or by telephoning . (If I am not able to answer, in the moment, please do leave your contact number, and I will always call you back as soon as possible.) This enables you to meet me, ask any questions you have, and decide whether I am someone you feel comfortable working with. It also gives me the opportunity to explore with you the issues that have led you to make this appointment and to take a brief personal history from you about your experiences and relationships so that together we can see whether psychotherapy or counselling is something that might be of benefit to you.
This initial appointment lasts up to an hour and a quarter. There is no pressure to make up your mind, then and there. I will suggest that you go away and think about it before deciding whether to enter psychotherapy or counselling with me.
The fee for this Initial Appointment is:
£40 for individuals
£60 for couples
£15 for those interested in group psychotherapy.
Ongoing Appointment Fees are:
£40 for individuals in Lincoln. (50 minute appointment. First appointment 7 a.m. and last daytime appointment 9 p.m. on certain days. Some reduced fee appointments are available at £30).
£50 for individuals in London.
£60 for couples (60 minute appointments. If I see couples individually as part of a course of couple counselling, the fee is exactly half their joint fee per session.)
£5, £10, £15 or £20 for group members. (90 minutes).
I usually see clients on the same days and at the same times each week.
I accept payment in cash and by cheque for all sessions and I also accept credit cards payments (except Amex) for ongoing appointment fees, if paid monthly in advance.
The fees for staff reflective groups and team building groups etc are negotiable but they are usually about £100 per hour.
My fees for supervision are £40 for a 60 min appointment; £55 for a 90 min appointment; or £20 per person for supervision group lasting two hours. Groups have up to four members and meet either monthly or fortnightly. I am a UKCP registered supervisor.
I am a BUPA approved psychotherapist.
