Taking the Next Step - the first appointment and counselling and psychotherapy fees in Lincoln and London.
The first step is to arrange an initial appointment with me, either by email, or by telephoning . (If I am not able to answer, in the moment, please do leave your contact number, and I will always call you back as soon as possible.) This enables you to meet me, ask any questions you have, and decide whether I am someone you feel comfortable working with. It also gives me the opportunity to explore with you the issues that have led you to make this appointment and to take a brief personal history from you about your experiences and relationships so that together we can see whether psychotherapy or counselling is something that might be of benefit to you.
This initial appointment lasts up to an hour and a quarter. There is no pressure to make up your mind, then and there. I will suggest that you go away and think about it before deciding whether to enter psychotherapy or counselling with me.
If you have private health insurance, I am a BUPA recognised psychotherapist, but if you don't have private insurance, or don't wish to make a claim, my fees are as follows:
The fee for this Initial Appointment is:
For individuals: £40
For couples £60
For group therapy: £15
Ongoing Appointment Fees :
Individuals in Lincoln: sliding scale: £25 - 55 . My clients choose the fee they wish to pay within that scale. 50 minute appointments. Face-to-face and online (via Skype/Facetime) available. (First appointment at 7.00 am and last appointment at 9 pm, on certain days).
Individuals in London: sliding scale: of £40 - 60. My clients choose You choose the fee they wish to pay within that scale. I only have morning face-to-face appointments available in London, currently. Online appointments (via Skype and Facetime) are available at other times. Reduced fees and online sessions available at £30 in London.
For Couples: £60 (60 minute appointments. If I see couples individually as part of a course of couple counselling, the fee is exactly half their joint fee per session.)
General Analytic Group £5-£15
Compulsive Eaters' Group £15
Retirement Group £10 (All groups 90 minutes).
I usually see clients on the same days and at the same times each week.
I accept payment in cash and by cheque for all sessions, on the day of the appointment, and I also accept credit card payments (except Amex) for ongoing appointments, (i.e. not for the initial appointment), if paid monthly in advance. Online sessions, via Skype/Facetime, are also charged in advance - weekly, or monthly, is acceptable.
The fees for staff reflective groups and team building groups etc are negotiable but they are usually £80 -100 per hour.
My fees for supervision are £40 for a 60 min appointment. I am a UKCP registered supervisor.
