Taking the Next Step - the first appointment and counselling and psychotherapy fees in Lincoln and London.
The first step is to arrange an initial appointment with me. If you wish to discuss this beforehand, please telephone me. (If I am not able to answer, in the moment, please leave your contact number, and I will call you back as soon as possible.) Or you can arrange the initial appointment by email, if you prefer. This appointment will enable you to meet me, ask any questions you have, and decide whether I am someone you feel comfortable working with. It also gives me the opportunity to explore with you the issues that have led you to make this appointment and to take a brief personal history from you about your experiences and relationships so that together we can see whether psychotherapy or counselling is something that might be of benefit to you.
The initial appointment lasts up to an hour and a quarter. There is no pressure to make up your mind, then and there. I will suggest that you go away and think about it before deciding whether to enter psychotherapy or counselling with me.
The information I will need in order to set up this appointment, will include whether you wish to see me in Lincoln or London, whether you are seeking a daytime or evening appointment, and whether there are any days/times you cannot manage.
If you have private health insurance, I am a BUPA , AVIVA, and AXA PPP recognised psychotherapist, but if you don't have private insurance, or don't wish to make a claim, my fees are as follows:
The fee for this Initial Appointment is:
For individuals: £50
For group therapy:
For couple therapy: 100
Ongoing Appointment Fees :
Individuals : sliding scale: £50-70 , for a 50 min appointment. My clients choose the fee they wish to pay within that scale. (First appointment at 7.00 am and last appointment at 9 pm, on certain days).
Groups: All groups are 90 minutes.
Couples: £100. (If couples are seen individually the fee is £50 per partner.)
I usually see clients on the same days and at the same times each week.
I accept payment in cash and by cheque for all sessions, on the day of the appointment, and I also accept bank transfer payments for ongoing appointments, (i.e. not for the initial appointment), if paid monthly, or weekly, in advance. Online sessions, via Skype/Facetime, are also charged in advance - weekly, or monthly, is acceptable.
The fees for staff reflective groups and team building groups etc are negotiable but they are usually £100 per hour.
My fees for supervision are £50 per hour.
I am a UKCP registered supervisor.
